We have an exciting contract position for a Fitter responsible for the maintenance and the general service of equipment or machinery in a safe manner to maximise equipment reliability and availability.

Job Description:
Your responsibility will be to perform, safe, cost-effective maintenance and service of Komatsu 860’s and 960’s Haultrucks in accordance OM specification using SMP (Standard Maintenance Practice), to maximise equipment reliability and availability, enabling the achievement of production targets.
Your role will involve oil sampling, doing technical general maintenance and service of machinery whilst identifying and reporting defects, equipment failures and time required to do repairs for effective planning whilst adhering to all health and safety practices.
This is a Fixed term contract role for 3 months and is in the Engineering Department at a Band 9 reporting to the Engineering Supervisor.
Qualifications:
What we’re looking for
You will be required to have 1- 3 years’ trade experience with a Matric (Grade 12) or N3 Technical Matric, N2 Engineering qualification, Artisan Trade Certificate, valid driver’s license (Code B- Light Vehicle)
