Grade 12/Senior Certificate. Computer literacy, NQF5 National Diploma in Public Administration. 18-months experience inpatient administration in a hospital environment. Radiology patient administration will be an added advantage.
Prepares required patient paperwork and electronic records for completion by department radiologists and radiographers. Answers telephones, directs calls, takes, and relays messages. Fosters communication between requesting clinicians and department regarding patient diagnostic appointments. Being aware of the patient’s status in the waiting room, i.e. examination completed and waiting for results. Obtains prior radiology films and reports from the computer systems and/or storage areas, as requested by clinical staff. INHERENT REQUIREMENTS: Willingness to work shifts which include weekends and Public Holidays and work overtime on short notice.
