This position exists to ensure that engineering resources are utilised to maintain the plant as planned.
Health and Safety Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements Promote safety performance Conduct risk assessments Do planned task observations Conduct safety meetings Ensure team members wear PPE Investigate incidents/accidents Co-Ordinator Liaises with Engineering & Production staff Evaluates condition monitoring status Issuing of work schedules and job cards Ensures maintenance planning Issues requisitions for spares as require Administration Keeps filing system for job cards Prepares standby lists Compiles weekly artisan utilisation reports Prepares month end report for engineer Generates cost report to site manager Managing the Team Select and appoint competent and passionate people Assign work Monitor performance & maintain discipline Train and develop team members |

QUALIFICATIONS
N3 Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering subjects Trade Test MQA/MERSETA preferred EXPERIENCE At list 2 years Learnership/Apprentice in Mining or Construction Artisan 3-5 Years in Mining or Construction SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES Knowledge of policy/procedures Knowledge of audits Conducting of risk assessments How to do planned task observations Understand PPE requirements Knowledge on how to investigate incidents/accidents Basic understanding of planned maintenance documentation and procedures Basic planning skills Completion of job cards Basic administration skills Basic computer skills Selection techniques on staff Good verbal communication Engagement with people Performance management processes Maintenance of discipline |
