Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) Leadership Programme 2022

About Ashinaga

Ashinaga is a non-profit foundation based out of Tokyo, Japan. It was founded by Yoshiomi Tamai after his mother’s premature death in a car accident. The goal of the Ashinaga Foundation is to provide financial and emotional help to youth who have lost one or both of their parents.

Globally, the Foundation has helped more than 110,000 orphaned students so far to complete their education.

Ashinaga Africa is the African arm of the Foundation and provides the same offerings to African youth. The Ashinaga Africa Initiative was founded in 2014. Since then, it has helped thousands of students complete their education.

Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) Leadership Programme 2022

Ashinaga Africa Initiative is an international leadership programme that aims to create the next generation of leaders in the African continent.

With financial and emotional support, AAI aims to transform the lives of students who have lost one or both of their parents.

AAI offers funding to students who have completed or are in the process of completing their high school education. The monetary benefits will go towards covering the cost of undergraduate qualification in any field.

Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) Leadership Programme

Selected students will have the option to study internationally. Ashinaga Foundation will decide the location at the Ashinaga Study Camp, which the student would have to attend. Furthermore, it depends on the academic track record, course availability, language requirements, and visa.

Once selected, the programme will cover the following cost:

  • Tuition cost
  • Accommodation
  • Travel expenses
  • Miscellaneous cost
