We have several 8 to 12 week intern opportunities for motivated and talented students to join our Marketing Business Unit in May 2021.

As well as discovering, mining and processing many of the essential raw materials that enable, support and enhance modern life, our global business is involved in selling and marketing products – copper, platinum and other precious metals, iron ore, coal, nickel and diamonds.

Through our Marketing Business, we are able to offer innovative solutions to meet our customers’ specific challenges. This includes physical products, logistics and technical support, as well as pricing and financing solutions. By offering freight services as well as actively managing the entire value chain, we ensure cost effective, reliable product supply and quality, when and where our customers need it. We have created new ways of working, devised more streamlined processes and procedures, and standardised information management systems.

As an Intern: Facilities within Anglo American you will have the opportunity to gain experience and provide operational support to the facilities team whilst providing a timely and high standard of service. You will also be involved in the following duties:

• Managing day to day operations and floor management such as the supervision of cleaners and contractors
• Assists in office inspections for defects and follow up on rectification works.
• Assist in asset management and/ or inventories.
• Assist in ad-hoc facilities projects and events to be held in the Singapore office
• Assists in Health & Safety related matters.
• Review Facilities Standard Operating Procedures

Qualifications:

You need to:

• Be working towards completion of academic credentials in Environmental/ Facilities/ Built Environment Management or any other relevant area (Bachelor or postgraduate)
• Be a team player with strong leadership potential.
• Demonstrate drive, ambition and a passion for challenging work in our operations.

In addition it would be expected that you have a basic understanding of facilities management.Additional information:
