| Job Summary Statement | Moolmans offers services across the mining value chain, from shaft sinking, underground development, contract mining and open cut mining, to construction of mine infrastructure. The operating group’s experience spans a broad range of commodities and it has worked successfully in remote and challenging locations. JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: Responsible to execute/deliver training and training administration in line with Operating group and site-specific requirements. |
| Minimum Requirements | ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Grade 12 • Must be qualified as Assessor and Moderator with the MQA (advantageous) • Facilitator/Train the Trainer certificate (advantageous) • Any formal training administration qualification will be an advantage EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: • Strong knowledge of an Opencast Mining environment and operating Heavy Earthmoving Equipment • At least 3- 5 years’ experience working as a Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Operator, on an opencast mine, licensed on Dump Trucks. • Valid Driver’s license • No criminal record • Must be fluent in English, |
| Duties & Responsibilities | KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES): To be able to perform, or has the ability to be developed to perform the following: • Co-ordinate delivery of training and competency assessments • Train as per training matrix • Develop, maintain and update training manuals in conjunction with Training Manager • Maintain quality in training delivery • Generate reports with regards to training delivered. • Record keeping and filing. • Update and maintain the MQA Database – I Share. • Register Unit Standards. • Liaise with MQA regarding new qualifications and deregister old unit standards • Nominated to be on the Standard Generation Board. • Ensure that all Learnership Contracts are in place and signed. • Responsible for training progress reports, capturing of training provided on the SAP system, as well as all relevant reporting. • Manage 180 assessment of machine operators (where simulation equipment is available) on the simulator. |
| Knowledge Skills & Abilities | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Good level of computer literacy – MS Office • Knowledge of Opencast mining environment • Excellent planning, presentation and communication skills • Knowledge of SAQA, MQA and NQF bodies and administration procedures (advantageous) |
