Purpose Statement
  • Lead the SAP S4 Team and the  SAP S4 1st Line Support Team to ensure optimal team performance, that clarity of work is established and maintained and skilled to deliver on requirements
  • Oversee the daily work of the SAP implementation team
  • Coordinate and lead a team of SAP Systems Analysts, Business Analysts and Support Analysts to ensure quality and on-time configuration, development, solution analysis and solution support of SAP solutions as per specifications
  • Coordinate and lead a team of SAP S4/HANA Support Analysts to ensure 1st Line Support Process is adhered to and support requirements optimally fulfilled
  • Providing SAP S4 Support insights from Support Request analysis, which can assist to improve on the SAP S4/ HANA solutions implemented
  • Assist the Manager: Applications to plan and schedule SAP solution roadmap and improvement initiatives
Experience

Minimum:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in managing an SAP technical team (SAP BASIS, Solution Manager, Netweaver etc.)
  • SAP ECC and/or SAP S4/HANA
  • Experience in managing the full SAP Systems Development Project Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in IT including experience in leading an SAP Technical Support team
  • SAP ECC and/or SAP S4/HANA experience
  • Experience in managing medium to large projects

Ideal:

  • SAP S4/HANA
  • SAP Cloud Solutions (SCP, CPI, HEC)
  • ITIL and/or COBIT
  • SAP Customer Centre of Excellence (CCOE) principles
  • SAP S4/HANA technical implementation and/or technical solution support experience in HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) and/or technical solution support experience
Qualifications (Minimum)
  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational in Grade 12 National Certificate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
  • Certification in Logistics or Finance
Knowledge

Minimum:

  • Experience in leading the full SAP Systems Development Project Lifecycle (SDLC) for the SAP team
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in IT including experience in implementing an ERP system
  • Experience in leading an ERP function of 5+ staff members
  • Advanced understanding of SAP ECC /  S4/HANA, integration practices, system development, and technical support
  • Experience in managing small to medium projects
  • Building and maintaining relationships across all levels of the organization

Ideal:

  • SAP Customer Centre of Excellence (CCOE) principles
  • International SAP exposure would be advantageous
  • SAP S4/HANA implementation and/or solution support experience
