Columbus Steel: Internship Programme for 2022 / 2023

To apply for this exciting opportunity at Columbus Stainless in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, you will need a minimum of Matric/N3 qualification with Mathematics or Math Literacy on a minimum of 40% plus strong motivation to learn and develop to become an Equipment or Process Controller.

You must have 1 to 2 years of working experience as an operator or mobile equipment operator (Crane, Overhead Cranes, Front-end loaders. Mobile cranes etc) in a Heavy Engineering manufacturing environment and Melting and Rolling Mills experience will be a great advantage. Preferably you need to be a South African citizen and you must be medically fit for this learnership. You must be willing to work shifts and overtime in our 24-hour operation with strong technical abilities and good hand-eye coordination

Upon successful completion of the 1 year training programme, you will be awarded MERSEA Metals Manufacturing qualification (NQF Level 2), which will equip you for potential appointment in a metals production environment.
