Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in the Cooperage department at Van Ryn in Stellenbosch . This position reports to the Cooperage Supervisor .

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• General Cooperage activities
• Loading and off-loading of barrels
• Testing of barrels for leakages
• Good Housekeeping, Health and Safety practices
• Active involvement in E² program (Continuous Improvement Programme)
• Ad hoc tasks as required

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills/attributes:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Experience in a similar environment would be an advantage
• Ability to work well under pressure and extended hours from time to time
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks – heavy lifting and moving
• A valid forklift license will be an advantage
• Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Punctuality and attendance reliability
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Reliable transport to work
