E.V. Adams and Nomdumiso Msimang Bursary 2022

The law firm is offering financial assistance to a certain number of students each year. Known as the E.V. Adams and Nomdumiso Msimang Bursary, it is named after the founder Eustace Adams and a partner at the firm, Nomdumiso Msimang. Adams & Adams is a B-BBEE Level 2 Contributor, and the bursary is part of the commitment to uplift the disadvantaged community of South Africa.

This is a merit-based bursary with the selection criteria based on three factors:

  • The abilities and potential
  • Academic performance
  • The likelihood of getting employed as a Candidate Attorney at the law firm

For the academic session 2022, the bursaries will be awarded to students pursuing any of the following degrees:

  • BA Law
  • BCom Law
  • LLB

The value of the bursary will depend on the financial requirements, with a maximum cap of R 50,000 for each bursar. It will go towards covering the tuition fees. The candidates are supposed to pay for other expenses like meals and accommodation.

Initially, the bursary is awarded for one academic year. But subject to satisfactory performance (with a minimum overall average of 75%), students can renew the bursary.

After completion of the degree, Adams & Adams may or may not employ a candidate with the first right of refusal.
