DEPARTMENT : Community Services
DURATION : 12 Months (EPWP Fixed Contract)
STATION : Within Sekhukhune District Municipality

REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12,
• Fire Fighter 1/ Further Education Training Certificate
• Qualification in Fire and Rescue Operations, Hazmat Awareness,
• First Aid Level 3 or
  Basic Ambulance,
• CODE C1 Driver’s License plus one year experience in Emergency
  Services.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS: Fire, rescue and humanitarian services.

THE FOLLOWING ARE TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

• Perform effective and efficient fire services, and respond to fire incidents in and out of the area of jurisdiction;
• Perform special services as notified;
• Perform humanitarian services, respond to all emergency incidents;
• Ensure effective and efficient fire
  preventative strategies;
• Ensure inspections of fire equipment.
• Any other tasks assigned from time to time by seniors in the District.
• Must be medically fit and healthy when reporting as per NFPA 1021,
• Must be able to handle stressful situations,
• Must not be claustrophobic,
• Must not be alto phobic,
• Flexibility.
