EXPANDED PWP POSITIONS -TWELVE(12) MONTHS CONTRACT

 

INFRASTRUCTURE SECTOR x300 posts

 

(ULUNDI x80, NONGOMA x80, PONGOLA x40, EDUMBE x20, ABAQULUBI x80)

STIPEND:R3023.45 PER MONTH

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Application letter
  • Grade 12 will be an added advantage
  • NQF2 In Water & Wastewater Treatment will be an added advantage
  • Must be resident of Zululand District Municipality
  • South African citizen with valid ID document
  • Person from indigent registered household
  • Recommendation from ward councilor indicating indigent status
  • Priority will be given to households with no Income
  • Proof of residence from traditional authority and municipality required
  • Must be wiling to be trained.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist process controller in the operations and maintenance of WTW/WWTW/ and or pump Stations.
  • Assisting the on-duty process controller with the operating and maintaining of all water/waste water treatment works assets of the Municipality.
  • Ensure an effective general worker and support service at the WTW/WWTW ;
  • Cut the grass with lawn mower, pick up grass and shuffle where needed
  • Scrub sedimentation out of clarifier tanks;
  • Clean filters and filter holes;
  • Open blockings on pump and pipes;
  • Execute general maintenance duties at the WWTW/WTW ;
  • Clean the digester tanks and pump stations.
  • Perform any other reasonable task that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
