GENERAL WORKER

Job Purpose:

• This position exists to perform various duties including to maintain good house keeping

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum Grade 10/ Grade 12 will be an added advantage
• Minimum 1 year experience in opencast mining
• Minimum 1 year experience working as a general worker
• MHSA knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

• Working as a general worker in the mining operations
• Assisting the maintenance team with water pumps
• Installing of traffic signs on site and in the pit
• Cleaning of all bays, oil spillages and grease spillages.
• Washing heavy duty machines and LDV’s
• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and offices
• Maintain good housekeeping at all the times.

Personal Profile:

Good communication skills. Time keeping skills

Honesty, integrity, reliability, assertiveness, self-motivated

Ability to follow instructions and good reporting skills
