About GWK

GWK or Griekwaland Wes Koöperasie is an agribusiness sector. It is further divided into 3 subsectors namely GWK Agri, GWK Farm Foods and GWK Trading. GWK has various brands that provide products and services for the subsectors. These brands include FloTank which provides agricultural logistical services, Valley for irrigation solutions, Fresh by Nature, GWK Farms, Landzicht, MVW which supplies veterinary items, Profarmer, GWK Properties, SA Feed Phosphates and Sidi Parani for fertilizer needs.

GWK Ben Scholtz Bursaries

GWK helps qualified applicants obtain qualifications for degrees that are of importance for the GWK Group through the Ben Scholtz bursary fund.

GWK will provide funding for students that want to pursue a career in the following relevant skills include:

  • Agricultural Economists
  • Agriculturists
  • Buyers
  • Grain Procurers
  • Programmers
  • Safex traders

The Ben Scholtz bursary fund covers registration, class and book fees. Upon completion of studies, bursary holders may be offered to work for the GWK Group. However, in the case of no available vacancies, the bursary will be converted to loan that requires to be paid back to GWK.

Bursary Requirements and Eligibility

  • South African citizenship
  • Good academic performance
  • Applicants who intend to study in the fields mentioned above at an accredited South African tertiary institution

  2. Prepare to upload the following documents:
    • Most recent exam results
    • Course fees information
    • Course information
    • Identification document
    • Detailed CV

Only successful applicants will be communicated on or before 31 October of each year.
