Requirements
Degree/Three year National Diploma in Human Resource Management/Public Administration/Management or any relevant qualification with 5 years appropriate working experience in Human Resource Management or Grade 12 with 7 years appropriate working experience in Human Resource Management. Knowledge of PERSAL (Proof of PERSAL Training must be attached). Knowledge of related Human Resource procedures is essential. Ability to interpret and assist in implementation of policies, procedures, regulations and other legislative HR frameworks. Logical thinking, good planning, effective problem solving, and good communication skills are essential. Knowledge of PMDS procedures. Computer literacy (Micro Soft Office: Excel, Word, Power point). Ability to work with confidential information and under pressure.
Duties
Supervision and performance management of human resource management staff. Processing appointments, transfers and all types of service termination (i.e. retirement, ill health, death and resignation). Structuring of salary packages for employees on level 11 and above. Process grade progression for all categories of staff. Overseeing leave management and approve all transactions on PERSAL system. Coordinate recruitment and selection processes. Compile monthly reports. Attend to HR related enquiries. Responsible for the advertisement of all posts. Ensure correct implementation of Performance Management and Development System (PMDS). Provide training and support to team members. Assist with other Human Resource Administration duties.

This verification process entails reference checks, identity verification, qualifications verification, criminal record checks as well as a credit/financial stability check. Successful candidates will be subjected to OHS medical surveillance as required by HBA regulations within the OHS Act 85 of 1993. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only.
