POSITION: Rigid Truck Operators x 21

REFERENCE NO: RIG06/22

LOCATION: Mpumalanga, Risenga Colliery

REPORTING TO: Production Foreman

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: To Operate a Dump Truck in an Open Pit Mining operation.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

• The hauling of material to the correct designation.
• Adhere to organizational Safety and Quality requirements.
• Adhere to operating procedures.
• Comply with lawful and reasonable requests/instructions from supervisors or managers.
• Optimizing production – meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Ensure that all machinery and equipment is maintained.
• Respect and adhere to the speed limit.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2-year experience on relevant machinery (preferably Volvo A30 & A40) in an Opencast Mining environment (other jobs that prepared you for this job). Grade 10/Standard 8
• Pass Risenga Colliery Machine Assessment
• Accredited operator’s certificate
• Valid Drivers’ Licence
• No Criminal record

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of operating a Dump Truck in an Open Pit operation
