The Cederberg Municipality, which includes the towns, Citrusdal, Clanwilliam, Graafwater, Lambert’s Bay and Elands Bay as well as a large rural area, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to apply for this vacant position within its establishment.

DIRECTORATE: TECHNICAL SERVICES

DEPARTMENT: ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION
ARTISAN ASSISTANT (GRAAFWATER)

DUTIES: Assist the Immediate Superior by digging trenches, laying cables for electrical supply and doing physical labour Install and maintain pre-paid electrical meters Render a cleaning service by removing and trimming trees and branches that obstruct any overhead electrical cables Cleaning and maintaining of substations The full scope of duties is contained in the job description.

REQUIREMENTS: Grade 10 Ability to read and write must be able to work in extreme conditions Good Health
Strong sober habits and must be hardworking and willing to work standby and overtime a driver’s license is not a requirement but might be advantageous 18 Months relevant Experience

REMUNERATION: T 5 (R 107 351.28 – R 138 655.20) per annum plus normal municipal benefits.
