Introduction…

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Artisan Assistant (Fitter), to be based at Engineering Services near Carletonville, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Assembler.

Minimum Requirements…

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Written and verbal communication skills in English

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• Relevant working experience as Artisan Assistant (Fitters)
• Relevant working experience in earthmoving and trackless mining equipment workshops
• Experience in preparation, line-up and machining (of electrical and hydraulic mobile line-bore machines) to correct sizes as per requirements on Trackless Mobile Machinery
• Must be medically fit
• Must not have a criminal record

      The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Ensuring that working conditions are maintained to a high and acceptable standard
• Conducting all assigned work in a satisfactory and competent manner
• Complying with the Health and Safety policy and practices of the company
• Manufacturing of steel pipes and hydraulic hoses for Trackless Mobile Machinery
• Receive and issue spares for underground and surface equipment in a re-build environment
