The main purpose of this role is to manage rework in the factory including draining, handling, gassing, cut-open and weighing of rework from Filling & Packing and Process and Product designated for Cut-open from warehouse.

The main purpose of this role is to manage rework in the factory including draining, handling, gassing, cut-open and weighing of rework from Filling & Packing and Process and Product designated for Cut-open from warehouse.
A day in the life of…
- Moving Rework between Production or Filling &Packing lines
- Weighing of rework after draining, cut-open and consolidating the weight as per SSCC quantity.
- Removing of rework and sweepings from processing and filling & packing lines, weighing and recording it.
- Sampling rework, following FEFO, for Sensory analysis for release.
- Staging of released rework in the PSA.
- Cutting open of Rework in cans
- Ensure defective stock (expired/ damaged / blocked) are managed according to standard and procedures.
- Function as relief in Process or Filling &Packing as and when required.
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping in the workplace
What will make you successful
- Matric with Maths and Physical Science
- Computer literacy
- A Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the similar role/production environment with exposure to rework handling & cut-open
