Main depurpose of the job is the management of the Industrial Services. This covers
  • The generation & distribution of utilities like steam, refrigeration, electricity & compressed air
  • The sourcing, treatment and distribution of water
  • Air handling
  • The treatment of trade waste & its disposal
A day in the life of…
Position Summary
  • Define, propose and monitor the Industrial Service plans and objectives in accordance with Engineering Objectives, Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the Industrial Service Activity as outlined in the Nestlé Engineering Excellence (NEE) master document.
  • Implement work processes, procedures and technical resources related to Industrial Services & shall be capable of defining these
  • Ensure that all utilities (air, hot air, water, steam, water-conditioning chemicals) that come, or may accidentally come, in direct contact with products are treated according to acceptance criteria for product and processes.
  • Ensure that all Services are operated, maintained, distributed and inspected in accordance with all internal and external standards, regulations and audits (e.g. boiler house, ammonia systems, pressure vessels etc
  • Propose and control the Industrial Service budget including the monitoring and reporting of all costs relating to energy
  • Ensure that all members of the Industrial Service team play an active role in assisting the client in improving the energy usage and reducing waste across the site through continual improvement initiatives
  • Ensure that the operators and fitters are properly trained, have the correct certification and sufficient utilities process and equipment functional knowledge to run the Industrial Service utilities
What will make you successful
  • Degree or NTD Diploma in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Thermal Engineering
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in the industrial services field
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for safety, environment and statutory inspections. (OSH&R)
  • In-depth knowledge of utilities plant operation and technology. (Boilers, Air Heaters, Refrigeration, Water and Waste Water Treatment, Compressed Air and HVAC)
  • Knowledge of quality requirements for each utility stream (Steam, Water, Air…) should it come in contact with the product
  • Analytical skills in problem solving.
