| Job Advert Summary | Assist the Artisan Painters with the day to day maintenance of all painting/glazing work. To prepare all equipment, material and tools as delegated by the Painter. Mixing any paints according to the Painter’s instructions. To ensure that all equipment is used safely and according to the standards of work as determined by the Painter/Assistant Civil foreman. |
| Minimum Requirements | • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) • 2 – 3 Years relevant work experience in the painting field. • Knowledge in the painting field. • Ability to do minor painting jobs. • Painting certificate would serve as an advantage. • Safety & safe working procedures. • A valid Code B driver’s license will be an advantage. |
| Primary Duties | • General maintenance of predominantly in painting and glazing of buildings and plant but also in all civil/building trades. • Delivery and collection of materials to and from place of work. • Erect scaffolding. • Cleaning of tools, equipment, workshop, stores and site where work was performed. • Safety awareness, store duty, asset control, and minor administrative tasks. • Carry out other tasks as delegated by the supervisor from time to time. |
