PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Lead the Inland region’s sales efforts by driving revenue growth, enhancing customer service, and ensuring brand excellence. Leverage your sales management expertise to maximize sales, meet wholesale targets, and lead a high-performance sales team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Management:
- Monitor and analyze regional sales performance vs. budget, taking corrective actions to drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with marketing to implement trade marketing tools and enhance brand visibility.
- Execute promotional strategies to meet sales targets and boost profitability.
- Provide ongoing coaching to the sales team, ensuring they are equipped to achieve their goals.
- Drive sales in underperforming stores by formulating effective strategies and sales techniques.
Customer Service Delivery:
- Implement and manage the company’s customer service strategy across retail partners.
- Ensure merchandising excellence and timely replenishment to maximize sales potential.
- Proactively resolve stock issues to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent out-of-stock situations.
People Management:
- Foster a motivated work environment, ensuring alignment with company values and leadership principles.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and mentoring to drive continuous improvement and development of the sales team.
- Monitor and manage expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Market/Region Intelligence:
- Conduct environmental scans to stay ahead of competitor activities and identify market trends.
- Provide insights to the marketing team to help develop impactful marketing strategies.
Merchandise Management:
- Analyze stock management data to ensure accurate forecasting and minimize overstocks.
- Oversee the opening and closing of retail doors to ensure optimal stock control.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring brand growth and exposure in retail stores.
- Guide the sales team to work collaboratively with other departments, ensuring smooth operations and achieving brand objectives.

Technical Skills:

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Matric certificate, preferably with a degree/diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cosmetics or Retail Sales Management.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
Primary Location: Cape Town (with required travel).
