We are seeking an experienced Regional Technical Manager to oversee technical operations, drive performance, and ensure high standards in service delivery.

Main Purpose of Job:

To ensure the Technical Department is managed efficiently and professionally, resulting in excellent operational delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the security industry.
  • Extensive technical experience.
  • People management experience.

Job Requirements & Other Attributes:

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Registration: PSIRA Grade A.
  • Knowledge: Budgeting, Project Management, and SAIDSA requirements.

Duties:

  • Technical Efficiencies:
    • Manage installations and service revenue.
    • Oversee the implementation of sales through the technical program in the region.
    • Control fuel consumption and overtime costs within the technical department.
    • Manage wait/lead times for alarm installations and servicing.
    • Oversee the operating costs of technical fleet vehicles.
    • Drive new product lines and manage staff turnover.
    • Control operating costs within the technical budget and manage absenteeism and excess leave.
  • EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety):
    • Conduct EHS audits, fire and evacuation drills.
    • Improve and manage accident ratios in operations departments.
  • Customer Service:
    • Identify root causes of customer service issues and compile reports on outstanding issues.
    • Create and implement a performance-based culture and provide necessary training.
    • Develop guidelines for training and succession planning.
  • Performance Management:
    • Implement a cutting-edge performance management system and provide necessary training.
    • Create a performance-based culture and manage training and succession planning.
