About Saiosh

Saiosh stands for South African Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. It is the largest body of Occupational Health and Safety professionals in Africa that trains and upskills them to create a better workplace. As per estimates, 2.78 million workers die every year due to work-related accidents or illnesses. Saiosh is on a mission to reduce this number and save valuable lives.

The members of the Saiosh receive training and knowledge materials that keep them updated regarding the latest development in their field. They also benefit from several programmes that are organised from time to time by Saiosh.

Saiosh Bursary Funding for Members 2022

Saiosh, through its operations, recognizes that not all of its members have access to resources to upskills themselves in this highly-important sector. That’s why the organisation has set aside a fund to help deserving candidates. It is offering the Saiosh Bursary Funding for Members. These bursaries are meant for its members who want to take up additional educational programmes within the OHS field.

The bursary programme will cover the tuition fees and related expenses based on the evaluation. Applicants can avail 100% of the funding for their programme depending on the need.

For the academic session 2022, the One Percent Safer Movement will be sponsoring this bursary programme. Therefore, it will be called ‘The One Percent Safer Bursary.’

Eligibility Criteria Of The Saiosh Bursary

The bursary is open only to the members Saiosh. The organisation has three designations for its registered members, which are, Technical, Graduate, and Chartered. You need to have either of the three memberships to apply for the bursary funding. Furthermore, you must fulfill the eligibility requirements of the study programme you wish to take. Both of these requirements are non-negotiable.

To get started with the application process, you must apply online at Saiosh. You’d have to log in to your account and complete the application form. If you don’t have a membership account yet, click here to create one. It’ll take some time to approve your account. Once it’s approved, you can apply for the bursary.

The Saiosh Bursary Funding for Members 2022 is currently open. The last date to apply for it is not updated. Therefore, it’s advised to apply as soon as possible.
