Job Responsibilities:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:

• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.

CUSTOMERS:

• Ensure customer satisfaction

BUSINESS PROCESSES:

• Identify and assess level based risk exposures in areas of responsibility
• Ensure SHEQ compliance through effective use of the Toolbox
• Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to analyse identify trends, initiate, mitigate, investigate and report SHEQ status
• Conduct internal environmental audits
• Identify environmental risks and determine their impact
• Monitor environmental behaviour in line with expectations
• Sampling for air and water and oversee Waste Management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc / National Diploma in Environmental Management or Environmental Science
• 2 years environmental experience in mining environment

Additional requirements:

• ISO 14000 auditing course would be advantageous

Skills and Knowledge:

• Computer Literacy (MS Office)
• Knowledge of the environmental management legislation
• Knowledge of the ISO 14001 standard
