• Be in possession of Grade 12
• Be in possession of an valid Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency, also currently carry a legal appointment as a Mine Overseer
• Be in possession of a valid driver’s license
• Have good interpersonal and motivational skills
• Be diplomatic yet assertive, with excellent reporting competencies
• Have unquestionable integrity and work ethic
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Be in possession of Baseline Audiogram result
• Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

• Have at least 5 years experience as a Mine Overseer in a track bound development section
• Proven knowledge of running a production section
• Exceptional safety record
• Above average production performance record
• Mine Managers Certificate
• Instilling sound employee relations within groups of employees
• Good medium and long term planning skills 

• Ensuring legal compliance
• Responsible for running and managing of the section
• The drive of continuous safety awareness throughout area of responsibility
• Manage a section with all related legislative requirements
• Meeting safety and production targets
• Ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the employees within your area of responsibility
