The Sibanye-Stillwater Academy is looking for dynamic, self-driven employees who would like to enter into a Mining Learnership. A limited number of allocations will be awarded to employees for a full time study opportunity in line with business needs.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a Grade 9 or equivalent NQF Level 1 Educational Certificate, with Mathematics and English Communication, in order to be accepted onto the Rock Breaker Learnership.
  • Applicants must be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre.
  • Pre-screening and psychometric evaluation may form part of the selection process. All applicants will be subject to clearance screening by the South African Police Services as required by the National Explosives Act. Short listed candidates will be requested to attend a panel interview. Applicants who receive no response to their applications within 14 days after the closing date, may consider their application for the Learnership to be unsuccessful.   • Preference will be given to applicants who have more than six month’s previous mining experience in the production environment of a Mine.
