Position Purpose:
Provide protection over life, property and the environment by responding to fire and emergency situations, conduct fire prevention duties, up keep and servicing of fire equipment.

Position outputs:
1. Maintain Operational Readiness
2. Maintenance of fire equipment
3. Perform specialized procedures in dealing with emergency and other incidents
4. Adherence to Governance and Risk Management in terms of legislation, policies and procedures
5. Adhere to Transnet policies, procedures and guidelines
6. Caring for other people’s lives and / or assets without any favor and / or prejudice
7. Continuous assessment of own performance, professional interaction and ethical dealings with stakeholders/ clients and co-workers
