Position Purpose:

To assist in ensuring implementation of supplier development strategies aligned to the broader national policy and regulatory framework with specific emphasis on CSDP. To liaise with supply chain community across TPT to ensure that there is consistent implementation, monitoring and reporting of Supplier Development (SD). To assist in training initiatives for SD policies and procedures to drive compliance TPT when entering into SD transactions. To collate information and compile reports on SD transactions in TPT.

Position outputs:

Conduct research to support implementation of PPPFA regulations including local content, sub-contracting and designation for EME’s/QSE’s
Support Supplier Development Manager in embedding SD strategies within TPT and

Conduct analysis to support opportunity identification for SD with strategic suppliers.

Support SD strategy and process development; policies and procedures formulation;

Support Supplier Development training initiatives within TPT; and

Support commodity-specific initiatives in respect of SD.

Track SD strategy and policy implementation within TPT;

Assist with monthly compilation of Supplier Development COE dashboard; and

Collate information and compile reports on SD activities within TPT.

Collate success stories and learnings on supplier development

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree/NQF Level 7 (legal or commercial) is required,
At least 5 years’ experience in a supply management function or BEE strategy development
