Position Purpose:

Install, inspect maintenance and repair industrial, commercial machinery, buildings and equipment cost effectively to

ensure maximum availability of plant and equipment by eliminating unscheduled stoppages due to breakdowns and applying

the OHS Act continuously on the assets of Transnet Engineering, Koedoespoort Region.

Position outputs:

• Installations of machines in the workshops
• Repair and maintain all buildings; Plant equipment and machines
• Mechanical fault finding and repairs to electro hydraulic machines including motorised equipments.
• Conduct PM’s and report and repair defects
• Mechanical overhaul, modifications, upgrade of machines and equipment
• New machines preparation including foundations, skirting , aligning installations
• Maintain production flow

• Ensure high quality products on time
• Repair and test machines before handover to operations

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must be a qualified trade tested Millwright (Legislation pre-requisite)
• Must be a Qualified Millwrights
• At-least 2-3years’ experience in factory maintenance
• Experience with PLC or CNC machines
• Experience hydraulics and pneumatics
• Code 10 drivers license
