About TuksSport

TuksSport is the sports department of the University of Pretoria. It runs and maintains several sports training facilities and clubs. These clubs are focused on sports ranging from chess to cheerleading to cricket.

TuksSports clubs are membership-based open to students, staff, alumni, and the community. Besides training equipment, there are services like technical expertise, sports psychology, and injury support. Several South African athletes have made use of the clubs to train and compete at the international level.

Eligibility Criteria

The University of Pretoria has certain requirements in place that the applicants must meet to avail the bursary. It’s important that you review all of them. Ineligibility for even a single criterion leads to rejection of the application.

  • Must be willing to pursue a full-time education at the University of Pretoria
  • Must be entering the first year from 2022 academic year

  • Applicant’s position on the current SA junior and senior rankings

Some of these will be reviewed again next year for renewal. So make sure you fulfill the criteria before applying.
