About YouthED and CTU

Established in 2022, YouthED is a non-profit organization that aims to provide opportunities for prospective learners to attain academic qualifications or skills.

On the other hand, CTU Training Solutions is a private organization. Established in 1987, CTU Training Solutions offers degree courses in Business/ Management, Design, Engineering, Humanities, and IT faculties. The establishment is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training.

Short courses are available in the institution for the benefit of their students. CTU understands that skill shortage is a major threat in South Africa. Therefore, CTU Training Solutions provide effective solutions that help upskill South African youth.

Students can choose from one of 11 campuses of CTU in Bloemfontein, Vereeniging, Boksburg, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Roodepoort, Durban, Pretoria, Gqeberha, Potchefstroom and Polokwane. They also have the facility to choose between studying full-time or part-time.

YouthED / CTU Bursary 2023

CTU Training Solutions has partnered with YouthEd to award bursaries for the upcoming academic year. The students will receive bursaries for studying at IT faculties at CTU. The qualifications included are IT Networking and Design Administration diploma, Web UI Design, and IT technical support.

A total of 300 partial bursaries will be awarded, 100 for each course. The bursary will provide partial cover up to R20 000 for tuition fees. Additional expenses like accommodation, registration fees and software, international exams, vendor membership, registration fees, devices for online learning, or administration fees will not be covered by the bursary. The selected candidates must own their personal devices.

You cannot exchange the awarded bursary for cash. The applicants have to follow the normal procedure for registration and application. The candidates can apply for just one bursary at a time.

The shortlisted candidate has to attend classes regularly. Less than 80% attendance in class will result in the withdrawal of bursary advantages.

Eligibility Criteria

Prior to bursary application, applicants must fulfill the following requirements

• The applicant must be interested in pursuing any one of the degree courses mentioned by CTU
• The candidate must be entering full-time first year and should be able to start their degree course by February 2023

You have to submit the application through email at [email protected]. In the email subject, you must write “YouthEd/ CTU Bursary Application.”

Closing Date

The closing date for the YouthED / CTU Bursary 2023 is 30 November 2022. YouthED/ CTU will not consider applications eligible if you make the submission after the deadline.
