If you’re thinking about joining KFC, there are a number of perks that come with being an employee. Among these are health insurance, paid time off and more. And, of course, there’s also a salary to consider—which ranges from R3 700 – R10 733 per month (or R40 687 – R128 514 annually).

This figure depends on how much experience you have as well as where you work.

What Do You Get Paid?

For most positions, you can expect to earn between R4 000 and R7 500 per month. You’ll also receive meal tickets as part of your monthly pay package. Meal tickets are sold to staff members by management or via a points system.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, Monday to Saturday and Sunday. 12-hour shifts are scheduled on a weekly basis according to store opening hours. During special events, you may be asked to work additional hours during the evening and/or weekends. Working Hours are subject to change at any time with or without notice by KFC.

Training and Qualifications

To train as a KFC Crew Member, you will need to have an eye for detail and be able to work under pressure. You’ll also need plenty of energy and enthusiasm. There are various opportunities available including Restaurant Management; Kitchen Assistant; Operations Assistant; Afternoon Shift Supervisor; Night Shift Supervisor; Retail Manager, among others.

Of course, these positions can only be filled by candidates with sound experience or qualifications which allow them to demonstrate that they possess all of these qualities.

Special Terms and Conditions

By joining KFC, you are agreeing to part-time employment (32 hours per week), based on company availability. You must be at least 16 years old and have an 80% attendance record to apply.

All employees will be required to pass a criminal background check before employment commences. Should you fail to meet these criteria, your application may be declined without any notice given by KFC Foods (Pty) Ltd. and no correspondence will be entered into regarding these matters.
