Salary: (R125 373 p.a – R145 077 p.a.) plus benefits is offered for four Kitchen Aid positions, each with a respective

reference number 3/SS/2023 (Taung Campus), 4/SS/2023 (Taung Campus), 5/SS/2023 (Potchefstroom Campus) and 6/SS/2023 (Potchefstroom Campus).

Applicants must have Standard 7 or Grade 9 or equivalent qualification in ABET.

Experience of up to one year in the restaurant industry is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate should have knowledge of OHS, hygiene and cleaning practices, inventory and ordering procedures, cooking and nutrition as well as computer skills, planning & organizing abilities, good communication skills both verbal & written with basic numeracy proficiency;

be able to carry out routine tasks effectively; handle office equipment proficiently; demonstrate flexibility when required; possess strong interpersonal relations; accuracy of figures is also desired. Duties include assisting in creating daily menus for students and other hosted events by the College kitchen.

Construct meal plans and adhere to set standards.
Ready the cafeteria for students and visitors at college-hosted events.
Sanitize the kitchen and cafeteria, as well as store all kitchenware correctly after use.

Adhere to occupational health regulations regarding cleanliness and safety.
Monitor inventory of cooking items and report any shortages, wastage or losses.
