Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of an Artisan Electrician, to be based at Bentley Park near Carletonville, Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering.

Minimum Requirements…

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
• Section 26 Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence
• Good communication skills in English
• Analytical and attentive to detail
• Team leadership and management skills
• Self-motivated, resourceful problem-solver within agreed parameters
• Able to make decisions within agreed parameters
• Sound learning agility and able to adapt to new technologies

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• 5+ years’ mining industry experience (underground, surface and plant)
• 5+ years’ trade experience as an Electrician

• Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
• Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
• Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
• Effective stakeholder engagement
• Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards, specifications and schedules
• Electrical equipment installations are constructed and maintained according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
• Effective self-management and alignment with M&RC values
