Free keyboard-controlled browser games

These games are suited to players who want direct keyboard controls. Neon Snake uses the arrow keys or WASD for four directions. Cosmic Breakout and Orbit Dodge use the left and right arrows for horizontal movement.

Open the game and select Start before using its keys. Input belongs to the embedded game area, so select the board if the surrounding page scrolls instead. Use Pause for a break rather than trying to hold a safe position indefinitely.

Sky Hop adds a one-button flight game: tap the board, press Space, or use the up arrow to apply an upward impulse. Gravity and scrolling gates turn that simple input into a rhythm challenge. The source exposes the gap size, gravity, and hop impulse as separate settings.

Neon Snake

Eat the food, grow the trail, and avoid the walls. A grid-based Snake game.

Controls: Arrow keys or WASD to steer. On a phone, use the direction buttons.

Tip: Plan the next turn before the head reaches it. A longer trail needs more open space.

Cosmic Breakout

Clear 28 bricks with a paddle and ball. Move the paddle to control each bounce.

Controls: Move your mouse, drag on the board, or use the left and right arrow keys.

Tip: Aim with the edges of the paddle. The contact point changes the ball’s horizontal velocity.

Orbit Dodge

Steer around falling asteroids. The longer you survive, the faster they fall.

Controls: Move with the left and right arrow keys, your mouse, or a finger on the board.

Tip: Make small corrections and keep an escape route. Large last-second sweeps can carry you into another asteroid.

Sky Hop

Hop through the gaps, keep your rhythm, and see how many gates you can pass.

Controls: Tap the board, press Space, or press the up arrow to hop. Pass between the gates. Use Pause to take a break.

Tip: Aim at the center of each gap and use short, regular hops.

The same keys, different movement

Snake changes its next direction by one grid step and will not reverse directly into its current trail. Breakout moves a paddle while the ball keeps its own velocity. Orbit Dodge moves the ship itself. Switching between these games is a useful way to feel the difference between selecting a direction and holding a key for continuous movement.

Questions

Why are the arrow keys scrolling the page?

The browser may have focus outside the game. Select Start or the game board, then try the keys again.

Can I use WASD in these games?

WASD steering is included in Neon Snake. The supplied Breakout and Orbit Dodge versions use the left and right arrow keys.
