Edubuzz ("we", "us", "our") operates edubuzz.co.za. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013.
When you register as a job seeker or employer, we collect: name, email address, phone number (optional), and company details (for employers). When you apply for jobs, we collect your application details including your CV. We also collect anonymous usage data via standard analytics tools.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your CV and application details only with the specific employer whose job you applied for. Your registration data is never shared with third parties for marketing.
We retain your account data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Job applications and related data are retained for up to 12 months after the job posting expires.
Under POPIA, you have the right to: access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing.
