As a Senior Debtors Administrator at broll, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing property income through proficient debtors management. Your role involves ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments and resolving account delinquencies efficiently. You will use a variety of techniques to manage and collect overdue accounts while maintaining the company’s professional image.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collections Management: Proactively follow up on overdue accounts through phone, email, and direct communication to secure repayments. Negotiate payment arrangements, offer financial counseling options, and manage cases until they are resolved or escalated.
  • Client Relations: Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to handle challenging situations with clients, addressing their concerns and minimizing losses through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, including correspondence and payment arrangements. Ensure timely distribution of rental and fee statements, manage tenant payments, and address any payment discrepancies.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on debtors’ collections, including weekly and monthly arrears, and provide updates on legal matters. Reconcile tenant accounts and manage financial documentation for reporting purposes.
  • Professionalism: Uphold the company’s professional reputation in all client interactions and ensure confidentiality is maintained. Stay informed about changes in collection policies and legal requirements.

  • Achieve arrears KPI of 3%.
  • Meet deadlines consistently.
  • Handle tenant queries efficiently and diplomatically.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in reconciliations, rates, and recoveries.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with team members and management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Matric (required).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of related experience in property management or a property fund.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of collection procedures, legal regulations, and company policies, including Business Rescue and Liquidation.
  • Skills: Strong administrative and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, proficient in relevant software and equipment, and capable of managing time effectively under pressure.
