Key Responsibilities 

Data Strategy & Roadmap Development 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define a holistic strategy for leveraging data to achieve business objectives. 
  • Identify opportunities for impactful data solutions and prioritise projects for inclusion in the product roadmap. 
  • Balance long-term product vision with short-term wins to deliver value incrementally. 

Stakeholder Collaboration & Advocacy 

  • Act as an evangelist for data within the business, helping stakeholders understand its capabilities and potential value. 
  • Assist stakeholders in defining and tracking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for data initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. 

Product Development & Delivery 

  • Work closely with engineering teams to prioritise, plan, and execute the development of data products and capabilities. 
  • Inform build vs. buy decisions on technical solutions, balancing cost, speed to market, and strategic fit. 
  • Manage the data product lifecycle from concept through launch and beyond, incorporating feedback and evolving requirements. 

Governance & Metrics 

  • Advocate for data governance, quality, and compliance standards within the organisation. 
  • Define and analyse metrics to measure the success of data products and initiatives. 

Problem-Solving & Execution 

  • Proactively explore problem spaces and opportunities to support the product vision and roadmap. 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to reduce uncertainty and set actionable deliverables.

Requirements

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience. 
  • 3 years proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, ideally within an e-commerce or data-centric organisation. 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex organisational structures and build consensus. 
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and working with technical teams. 
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. 
  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly, balancing business needs with technical feasibility. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • High accountability for meeting deadlines and delivering results. 

Preferred Experience 

  • Proven track record in delivering data products and subsequent iterations at scale. 
  • Proficiency with agile methods and tools to support project management in a timeline-sensitive environment.
