This position reports to the Inventory Operations Manager

Purpose of the role: To enable the operations teams to plan accurately, perform optimally and make informed decisions timeously.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that all prescribed safety and operational procedures are always adhered to.
  • Correct PPE to be worn always by all staff with the correct care taken to enhance the life span of the PPE.
  • Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported to Takealot management immediately.
  • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and tidiness within the working area. OPERATIONAL
  • Monitor and evaluate hourly/daily operational reports and ensure that Outbound KPI are controlled and met, any discrepancies are to be addressed and resolved.
  • Release work available to DC for processing
  • Assist in maintaining FIFO within the Outbound area, by ensuring that Priorities, Same Day Deliveries, and SLA orders are timeously handed over to Dispatch.
  • Ensure that Outbound queries are resolved timeously, and exception trends are addressed and resolved.
  • Assist the team in identifying and resolving any mistakes or inaccuracies.
  • Report and resolve risks to Outbound KPIs within reasonable time to mitigate.
  • Clear, accurate and decisive communication to the operations team.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Matric
  • 3-5 Years relevant experience in a Warehouse environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications or similar
  • Experience in running and creating reports.

Attributes Required:

  • Analytical skills.
  • Mathematical skills. Knowledge about warehouse operations and WMS applications.
  • Knowledge about Google products is advantageous.
  • Ability to understand and interpret information and communicate possible effects and the action needed to rectify non conformance noted in the information.
